Du Chateau Engineered Flooring Construction
DuChateau creates wood flooring meticulously crafting techniques and styles following the old world traditions offering the same look of a solid floor with the benefit of quality construction and stability. After DuChateau floors are installed they are indistinguishable from solid floors. Engineered floors use the same wear layer as solid hardwood flooring and wood from a different specie for the substrate, helping to conserve important natural resources, using a quarter of the trees of solid hardwood incorporating other species that are easily renewable. They can be sanded three times, same as a solid floor thanks to its 4mm thick wear layer. To avoid the common cupping, warping or bowing problems of the solid wood, DuChateau floors are constructed of cross-veining plywood layers that result in stability against expansion and contraction over the length and width of each plank. It offers flexible installation options for interior residential or commercial applications.
